Haworthia ‘Black Major x Picta Maughanii’ MS253 is a 6cm rooted specimen.
• Form: Compact, acaulescent retusoid rosette composed of spirally arranged, spreading to sub-erect leaves displaying neat radial symmetry and low-profile architectural substance.
• Leaves: Thick, succulent, deltoid to ovate-lanceolate; upper leaf portions recurve abruptly into flattened, triangular retuse facets; apex tapers into an acute, mucronate tip; margins and distinct abaxial keels are acute, delicately lined with fine, translucent denticulations and sparse micro-cilia.
• Texture & Windows: The adaxial retuse facets display semi-pellucid windows with a lustrous sheen, adorned with raised crystalline micro-papillae and fine verrucose pustules yielding a tactile, frosted rugosity. Sinuous, dark emerald longitudinal striations and branching cross-veins weave through the windows, accented by cloudy-white flecks and tessellated islands.
• Color: Saturated deep jade-green to forest-green base tissue, with fresh apple-green tones on active emergent foliage. Under high light intensity and reduced moisture, the outer leaves and window veins develop rich chocolate-brown, bronze, and dusky charcoal-purple stress coloration.
